What sets us apart?

This is the Adirondacks. Most smaller motels and lodging facilities are family owned and operated. Because of the economics of the business most are not modern or of the variety you will find in urban areas. However, you will find they are usually more comfortable and cleaner! Not to mention a little more affordable. Many customers like the vintage character! There are a few things to be aware of that you will find even in the more expensive chain hotels.

These are the reasons we are different!

First and foremost, our rooms are CLEAN! We have traveled ourselves and have been appalled and surprised by the lack of cleanliness in some lodging facilities.

Cell phones are very spotty here in the mountains. We provide free phones and we mean FREE! There is no charge for local or long distance calls. As long as you are calling within the US. We also provide wake-up calls.

We are one of only a couple of facilities in the area that provide free wireless high speed internet to our guests.

We do allow pets in some of our rooms. We know there are many that have allergies and can not stay in rooms where pets have been. We restrict pets to certain designated rooms and do a thorough cleaning after they check out!

We must know in advance if you are bringing Fido with you! Because of the added cleaning, there is a small extra charge for pets.

Beds and their condition can vary greatly from place to place. We are concerned with your comfort and that you get a good nights sleep. Our beds have been recently replaced and are very comfortable! That's what our customers keep telling us.

When a facility uses colored or off white sheets and linens, it's because they show dirt, wear and stains less. We use only white percale sheets!

Some facilities try to save money with small towels. They are not only cheaper to buy, but also cheaper to wash. Our bath towels are full size and we provide plenty, including hand, large bath and small bath towels!

Some facilities take the quick route by using plastic tub and shower surrounds. These sometimes are hiding problems that can cause mold, mildew and a musty smell. Our showers are tiled and very clean. You will find no mold or mildew. We clean them regularly with a bleach based cleaner. They are also roomier than many!

Some guests like to bring their own food or snacks with them. We have small refrigerators in all our rooms. Not all facilities do! There is also a microwave oven available to guests in our lodge.

Not all facilities will have cable TV or remotes. We do!

Not all facilities have separate heat controls in each room. We do! We allow you to control the temperature of your room. All we ask, that because of the excessive cost of energy is that you be reasonable with it's use.

Hot water can be an issue with some places. We have plenty and it's hot!

One big advantage of the mountains is the peace and quiet. We are located in an area that is so quiet you can hear the snow flakes crashing against the ground!

To make your stay a comfortable and pleasant experience we are vigilant when it comes to noise or other disruptions. We will not allow it! We have been very successful in preventing the need for a complaint by eliminating problems before they happen. We have asked guests we knew would be a problem to seek accommodations elsewhere.

If you are unfamiliar with the area and all it has to offer, we will be happy to provide maps and information. Plus, we will be happy to try and help solve any problems you may have. That can include a dead battery on your car! We've charged a few! We have even manged to get into a few cars with the keys locked inside!
